Issue Position

As a fiscally conservative republican, I feel education is one area we should never financially neglect. We need to be spending our tax dollars on the next generation and not on war. I also believe the federal government should not be in the classroom. As your Senator I would fight to give power back to the states in regards to deciding education decisions. The federal government is telling us what to teach our children instead of keeping those decisions local. Another thing I would fight for is to make it mandatory that students take a course teaching the US Constitution. Our younger generation is naive to the importance of this document, and we as a country are already suffering from this ignorance.
